Michael Jacobsson | Director of Key Accounts
Michael brings over a decade of technical and commercial experience in the commodities and specialty chemicals markets. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from UT Austin and began his career as a Research Scientist for Sid Richardson Carbon. His work has been published and patented, and he developed a reputation for thinking creatively regarding the design of commercially-promising materials and production processes to increase efficiency and quality. After three years, a new, commercial role for him was created to generate revenue streams outside the core business, such as energy recovery and power generation. This step marked his transition to the commercial side where he has since worn several hats in marketing, sales, and business development while bringing sophisticated solutions to customers throughout the Americas.
Michael spent 18 years as a competitive swimmer - a sport that brought him to the US from his home in Sweden. His family lives in Fort Worth, Texas where he is involved in his community. For seven years, he has served as Board Member for Ft. Worth Sister Cities, where he has chaired city delegations to Fort Worth’s sister city of Reggio Emillia, Italy. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and sharing his love of the outdoors with family.
